Photographer's noteOften streams of ideas come flowing in from having visited a place with colours and textures that spark my imagination. This space becomes the foundation from where visions build within my mind. Shapes, fabrics, colours, emotions and expressions suddenly take form. I thoroughly enjoy this stage of creation. It is the birth of a new idea. At these moments I feel an overwhelming urge to express this new "inner vision" for all eyes to see. It was a beautiful experience to work with the warm sunlight of Malta, and of course to photograph a professional dancer from The Royal Ballet London. We arrived in Valletta with six days of creative freedom ahead of us. The result of this artistic expedition is exhibited here in the "Me and P Gallery". Being a photographer fascinated by derelict buildings, it was a joy to delve into these deserted mansions to photograph and capture the beauty they hold. I still see so much life in these pastel coloured palaces. The patterns on the walls and ceilings, created by harsh elements and time completely memorise me. The work you see here displayed in "Me and P Gallery" is a creation that happened very spontaneously. No outcome had been decided, which gave me a completely free blank canvas to fill.
