We arrived in Valletta with six days of creative freedom ahead of us. It was a beautiful experience to work with the warm sunlight of Malta, and of course to photograph a professional dancer from "The Royal Ballet London". Being a photographer fascinated by derelict buildings, it was a joy to delve into these deserted mansions to photograph and capture the beauty they hold. I still see so much life in these pastel coloured palaces. Often streams of ideas come flowing in from having visited a place with colours and textures that spark my imagination. This space becomes the foundation from where visions build within my mind. Shapes, fabrics, colours, emotions and expressions suddenly take form. Recently relocating in Malta in 2011, Anna Runefelt is dedicated and inspired to spend further time on the island to express her creativity and is creating a new artistic venture.
